New Mexico GOP Secretary of State Candidate Audrey Trujillo Lies Again

  Audrey Trujillo, the Republican candidate for New Mexico Secretary of State, is a liar.  The researchers at NMGoP Uncovered have spent a lot of time monitoring Audrey Trujillo. We've done this for a reason; Audrey likes to lie A LOT. In June, 2022, we published Audrey Trullijo; "Antifa Peed my Bed "  and Audrey Trujillo, Christian Nationalist  brief discussions of Trujillo's lies regarding her Twitter account @AudreyTrueHero and various racist and Christian Nationalist posts.         After her tweets became the target of NM State Representatives Steve McQueen and Brian Engoff and the local newspaper, the Albuquerque Journal , began investigating, Trujillo quickly locked and changed the name of her @AudreyTrueHero Twitter account.  On July 24th, 2022, Audrey Trujillo tweeted the following from her account @AudreyT4NMSOS , "Attacks by both sides of the parties for being honest to the citizens of NM? Audrey Trujillo Urges County Commissioners to Violate State Election Code

This Facebook post on June 12, 2022, urged the county commissioners of New Mexico's 33 counties to violate state election law.    The New Mexico Municipalities League  provides a PDF copy of the New Mexico Statutes Chapter 1. Election Code" on their website. The latest version posted was in 2019 . Section 1.13.13: Post Election Duties: County Canvassing Board Certifying Results:  A. The county canvassing board shall meet to approve the report of the canvass of the returns and declare the results no sooner than six days and no later than ten days from the election date. A county canvassing board in a county with more than one hundred fifty thousand voters shall meet to approve the report of the canvass of the returns and declare the results no sooner than six days and no later than thirteen days from the date of the election." Audrey and the "Giant Orange Lie"

  According to the US Census Bureau , in a highly contested 2020 election cycle, over 154 million Americans took to the polls. The race between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was close. According to Ballotpedia , Biden had earned over 81.2 million votes to Trump's 74.2 million. In the end, Biden won the election with 306 electoral votes, beating Trump by 74 votes. (Ballotpedia, 2020) In a dark moment of American Democracy, Trump and the Republican Party refused (and continue) to accept the results of the 2020 election. Trump supporters across the country protested, demanding Secretaries of State recount all of the votes. As Trump grew more and more desperate to remain in power, so did his supporters.  According to the Brookings Institute , the GOP launched 60+ court cases challenging the election results in 63 separate state court filings to overturn individual state election results.   Our researchers Tweeted about Audrey’s racist and anti-Semitic tweets for months. She was finally called out for her posts by New Mexico State House Leader Brian Engolf and State Representative Matthew McQueen in April of 2022.     In her press release, Audrey claimed, "... House Speaker Brian Engolf posted an attack against me on Twitter with screenshots of fake profiles created by known members of Antifa smearing my name ."  ( Deleted Tweet )   Eventually, Dan McKay of the Albuquerque Journal wrote about it: Candidate’s account links Jews to vaccines, mocks Mexicans . Trujillo claimed the tweets were fabricated in the interview, “perhaps by Antifa activists.”  Later, when shown her social media posts, like Marjorie Taylor Green, Audrey Trujillo contended that she didn’t remember the tweets. It is important to note in the article that Audrey actually claims that she is, " Hispanic and has Jewish heritage.  “I’m not racist,” she said. “Honestly, I hate that stuff.”
