In the Beginning

  


Born Audrey Mendonca, Audrey was introduced to the American Political/Legal system in 2001 when she was arrested for Driving under the Influence (first offense) and "Failure to keep vehicle within traffic lane." Luckily for Audrey, the district attorney failed to meet discovery deadlines and the case was dismissed.

Notice that Public Defender Audrey used? That seems hypocritical given her constant whining and complaining about "commies and socialists" (more about that later).

After Audrey married Jerome Trujillo, not one to let her criminal actions keep her down, Audrey decided that MLM scams were the thing for her.

  


When our researchers tried to pull up her "Younique" cosmetics site, they found Audrey had repurposed her website for her Secretary of State campaign. 

 


Audrey's current campaign isn't her first run for state office. In 2020 she ran for sts representative for District 23 in New Mexico. She was heavily defeated in the Republican Primary, losing by almost 1000 votes.

Audrey and the "Giant Orange Lie"

  According to the US Census Bureau , in a highly contested 2020 election cycle, over 154 million Americans took to the polls. The race between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was close. According to Ballotpedia , Biden had earned over 81.2 million votes to Trump's 74.2 million. In the end, Biden won the election with 306 electoral votes, beating Trump by 74 votes. (Ballotpedia, 2020) In a dark moment of American Democracy, Trump and the Republican Party refused (and continue) to accept the results of the 2020 election. Trump supporters across the country protested, demanding Secretaries of State recount all of the votes. As Trump grew more and more desperate to remain in power, so did his supporters.  According to the Brookings Institute , the GOP launched 60+ court cases challenging the election results in 63 separate state court filings to overturn individual state election results. Audrey Trujillo: "Antifa Peed My Bed."

  Our researchers Tweeted about Audrey’s racist and anti-Semitic tweets for months. She was finally called out for her posts by New Mexico State House Leader Brian Engolf and State Representative Matthew McQueen in April of 2022.     In her press release, Audrey claimed, "... House Speaker Brian Engolf posted an attack against me on Twitter with screenshots of fake profiles created by known members of Antifa smearing my name ."  ( Deleted Tweet )   Eventually, Dan McKay of the Albuquerque Journal wrote about it: Candidate’s account links Jews to vaccines, mocks Mexicans . Trujillo claimed the tweets were fabricated in the interview, “perhaps by Antifa activists.”  Later, when shown her social media posts, like Marjorie Taylor Green, Audrey Trujillo contended that she didn’t remember the tweets. It is important to note in the article that Audrey actually claims that she is, " Hispanic and has Jewish heritage.  “I’m not racist,” she said. “Honestly, I hate that stuff.”
